Deadly Delhi steals the match from KXIP’s throat.

Stoinis the saviour for Delhi Capitals:

It was just the 2nd match of IPL 2020 between Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab being played at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. And would you believe that we had a tie and a super over in just the 2nd match of the season. Kings XI Punjab skipper KL Rahul won the toss initially and opted to bowl first. Delhi Capitals didn’t have the best of starts as they found themself struggling at 13/3 at the end of 4 overs. Dhawan, Shaw and Hetmeyer got out cheaply. Shreyas Iyer and Rishab Pant then joined together and tried to steady the capitals ship. Both entertained the viewers with some splendid shots and took the total to 86 of 14 overs. But both these batsman lost wickets in quick succession which led to a mini collapse. Axar and Ashwin too couldn’t do much as Delhi Capitals were struggling at 96/6.

At one stage something around 120 looked difficult for Delhi. But then Stoinis the saviour came in all guns blazing. He smashed the Capitals bowlers all around the park. As he ended up with 53 of just 21 balls, taking KXIP’s score to 157/8 which looked impossible at one stage. Mohd Shami was the pick of the bowlers for KXIP with figures of 24/2. Sheldon Cottrell and Ravi Bishnoi finished with figures of 24/2 and 22/1 respectively.

Magnificent Mayank just falls short:

In response KXIP openers gave a slow but steady start. But all of a sudden KXIP’s batsman kept biting the dust as all the big names like Rahul, Nair, Pooran, Maxwell fell cheaply. They were 55/5 at the end of 10 overs because of some splendid bowling by the Delhi bowlers. R Ashwin picked up 2 crucial wickets in just one over before he injured himself trying to stop the ball and had to leave the field. KXIP were low on hopes but Mayank Agarwal kept going. He played a fighting knock of 89 of 60 balls and almost single handedly took KXIP home. But there was another twist in the tale as with 2 runs needed of 2 balls KXIP lost both Mayank and Jordan resulting in a tie. KXIP finished at 157/8 resulting in a super over.

Mayank Agarwal was the top scorer for KXIP. With little contributions by Rahul, Sarfaraz and Gowtham. For Delhi capitals Rabada picked 2/28. Stoinis finished with figures 2/29 as he also bowled the penultimate over.

Rabada dents KXIP’s hopes in super over:

KL rahul and Nicholas Pooran came out to bat for KXIP in the super over. Delhi presented Rabada with the ball. Well everyone expected a lot of big hits in the super over. But KXIP could only score 2 runs. As they lost Rahul and Pooran of 2 consequtive balls courtesy some brilliant bouncers and yorkers by Rabada. Delhi with Iyer and Pant took just 2 balls to chase the 2 runs and succesfully stealed the match from KXIP’s throat. Marcus Stoinis was adjudged as Man of the Match because of his splendid performance both with the bat and ball.

Delhi Capitals 157/8

Marcus Stoinis 53(21) Shreyas Iyer 39(32) Mohd Shami 15/3 Sheldon Cottrell 24/2

Kings XI Punjab 157/8

Mayank Agarwal 89(60) KL Rahul 21(19) Kagiso Rabada 28/3 Marcus Stoinis 29/2

Match Report: Thala dhoni returns with a win.

Lungi Ngidi steals the show with the ball

The Dream 11 IPL has finally started and what a start to the tournament. Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians locked horns against each other at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium of Abu Dhabi. Initially CSK won the toss and allowed MI to bat first. Rohit Sharma and Quinton De Kock gave a decent start before both departed in consequtive overs. It was then upto SuryaKumar Yadav and Saurabh Tiwari to steady the ship. Both did well as they took the total to 92 of 10 overs. Saurabh Tiwary scored 42 of 31 balls before he was caught by Du Plessis. Hardik Pandya showed some signs of destruction by hitting 2 consequtive sixes but then could not survive for long as he departed to an outstanding catch by Du Plessis again. Further the likes of Pollard, Pattinson and others chipped in with small contributions to take the team total to 163.

The CSK bowlers did a great job to restrict MI to 163. Lungi Ngidi was the pick of the bowlers as he picked 3 for 38,whereras Deepak Chahar and Ravi Jadeja picked 2 wickets each

Determined Rayudu eases the chase for CSK

Chasing 163 CSK had a nightmare of a start as they were struggling at 2 for 6 runs. They lost Murali Vijay and Shane Watson early to the mighty MI pace attack. But then 2 experienced contenders in form of Ambati Rayudu and Faf Du Plessis joined and entertained the viewers with some splendid shots. From 2 for 6 runs they took the total to 121 and they both made batting look so easy. The MI bowlers looked helpless at this stage. Ambati Rayudu scored 71 of 48 balls before he was caught and bowled by Leggie Rahul Chahar. This opened up things for MI as they chipped in with another wicket of Ravi Jadeja. Just when the required rate was climbing up MSD made a smart move of sending young Sam Curran to face left arm spinner Krunal Pandya. Sam Curran certainly made the most of this oppurtunity as he scored 18 of just 6 balls with a strike rate of 300 before getting out to Bumrah. Faf and Dhoni then completed the proceedings with 4 balls to spare. Faf remained unbeaten at 58 of 44 balls smashing 6 boundaries.

Every Mumbai Indians bowler picked wickets but were expensive especially their trump card Jasprit Bumrah. Loosing wickets at regular intervals and poor bowling in the mid stage caused the game for Mumbai Indians. Ambati Rayudu was adjudged as the Man of the Match for his match winning knock.

MI 162/9 20 overs

Saurabh Tiwary 42(31), De Kock 33(20) Lungi Ngidi 3-38 Deepak Chahar 2-32

CSK 166/5 19.4 overs

Ambati Rayudu 71(48), Faf Du Plessis 58(44) Trent Boult 1-23 James Pattinson 1-27

KKR Team Analysis , Strength/Weakness

When it comes to success in IPL apart from CSK and MI,KKR is the 3rd team that comes into our mind. And the 2 time champs Kolkata knight riders will be fully geared up to take up the UAE challenge in IPL 2020. KKR is been led by Wicket Keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik and to give him company they have Andre Russell and Sunil Narine as these two can not only muscle the ball out of the park but also chip in with important overs with the ball. These two can bowl in the powerplay as well as in the death overs. They couldn’t qualify for the playoffs last year and ended up in the 5th spot after losing 7 matches on a trot in the mid section of the tournament. They have let go Chris Lynn and Robin Uthappa, and have invested in big T20 names like Tom Banton and England Skipper Eoin Morgan. KKR’s biggest signing was Pat Cummins whom they buyed for 15.50 crores. Add to that a new coach in the form of Baz Mccullum.

Apart from these players KKR has retained some young Indian talents like Shubman Gill,Nitish Rana, Prasidh Krishna,Rinku Singh, Kuldeep Yadav and many more. These Indian players will definitely make into the XI for KKR max number of times this year. Apart from these they have bought players like Siddhesh Lad, Rahul Tripathi, Varun Chakravarty and few more names from the domestic circuit. A lot of eyes will be on the retained duo of Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi as well.

Strength:

  • Power packed batting line up which includes Tom Banton,Eoin Morgan,Dinesh Karthik,Shubman Gill,Dre Russ and many more.
  • Quality pace bowling line up which includes foreign quicks like Pat Cummins, Lockie Ferguson and other Indian pacers.
  • Talented Indian players like Rana, Gill, Prasidh, Mavi, Nagarkoti etc.
  • Experience of England Skipper Eoin Morgan will come in handy.
  • All rounders and game changers like Andre Russell and Sunil Narine in the side.

Weakness:

  • Lack of options in Spin bowling as apart from Kuldeep Yadav and Sunil Narine there’s no big names in the spin department.
  • No backup if there is injury to key players like Russell and Narine.
  • Over dependent on Cummins and Russell
  • No experienced Indian player apart from skipper Dinesh karthik.
  • Concerns about Russell’s form in recently concluded Hero CPL.

Players to watch out for: Of Course a lot of eyes will be on the English duo of Banton and Morgan. Million dollar baby Pat Cummins will definitely get some attention too. But then once again people will look for Dre Russ and his big sixes. He was the highest run scorer and wicket taker for KKR last year and KKR fans will definitely have huge expectations from him this time as well. One has to see if Indian quicks Shivam Mavi and Kamlesh Nagarkoti will get an opportunity or not.

Well if KKR’s Overseas players struggle in UAE then KKR will definitely have a tough time as there lack notable Indian names. Players like Shubman Gill have to step up this year.

KXIP Team Analysis.

Known for their heavy expenses in every auction,we are talking about the KL Rahul led KXIP. A new skipper in form of KL Rahul with new coaches like Anil Kumble and Wasim jaffer. KXIP have retained their core for this year. Players like Chris Gayle,Nicholas Pooran,Mohd Shami,Karun Nair,Mandeep singh will be ready to roar for KXIP. And this year KXIP look like a quality side courtesy to some smart buys in Auction. They spent 26.20 crores to fill 9 slots for IPL 2020.

They bought some big names like Maxwell, Cottrell, Jordan, Neesham and a few domestic talents. Earlier this year they had let go R Ashwin. This move mighy prove costly as Ashwin would come handy in the UAE pitches. They have buyed young spinners like Ravi Bishnoi, Suchith to join Mujeeb. Add to that a great leader and coach in the form of Anil Kumble.

Strength:

  • Strong batting line-up of Gayle, Rahul, Maxwell, Mayank, Karun etc.
  • They have a great track record in the UAE.
  • Maxwell’s addition a great boost as he is an outright match winner.
  • Pacers like Cottrell, Jordan and Shami in the team.
  • Decent middle order of Maxwell, Pooran, Karun, Neesham etc.

Weakness:

  • Inexperienced spin bowling attack of Mujeeb, Murugan Ashwin and Bishnoi
  • Not many back up options if any of the pacers get injured.
  • Slow tracks in UAE might not suit the likes of Gayle,Pooran and Maxwell.
  • Letting go players like Sam Curran and R Ashwin might prove costly.
  • Lack of all rounders in the squad.

Players to watch out for: A lot of eyes will be on skipper Rahul, along side Gayle,Maxwell and Pooran. Cottrell and Mujeeb have to shine for KXIP to succeed. Nevertheless KXIP have got a strong batting line up. But got issues in bowling & allrounders department.

Delhi Capitals Team Analysis 2020

Yes we are talking about the “Rajdhani” of India and that’s Delhi Capitals for all of you. Led by an young an energetic skipper Shreyas Iyer and seems like they have got all bases covered for this season. One of the main essence for the Delhi Capitals would be their strong and formidable Indian Core. We can say that almost half of the Indian side has been bought by the Delhi Capitals. For starters they have got star wicket keeper and a hard hitting batsman Rishab Pant, Openers Shikhar Dhawan , Prithvi Shaw, Indian test team vice captain Ajinkya Rahane , spin wizards like Ravi Ashwin, Amit Mishra and Axar patel, finally a tall and lanky Ishant Sharma in the pace department. Under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer they finished as the second runner ups in the 2019 edition of IPL but failed to qualify to the playoffs in 2018.

Well the capitals look much more settled this year and are the only side who can play only 3 overseas players in the Xl and still look good. In the overseas department they have got perhaps the best pacer at present in the world and that’s Kagiso Rabada and lately they have added Anrich Nortje. In this years auction they roped in players like Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey, Shimron Hetmeyer, Mohit Sharma and a few more domestic talents. They bought R Ashwin and Ajinkya Rahane by transferring other players. To add to this they have called Daniel Sams the leading wicket taker of BBL 2020 as a replacement for Jason Roy who is not available for this year .And now they seem to have covered all bases this year with proper replacements for every slot. They have got plenty of openers, middle order batsmans ,and good options in the bowling department as well.

Strength:

Lot of options in the batting unit which includes Rishab pant, Shimron Hetmeyer, Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan and many more.

Good pacers like Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Daniel Sams, Ishant Sharma and Mohit Sharma.

Variety in the spin department which includes the quality of Ravi Ashwin, Sandeep Lamichane, Axar Patel, Amit Mishra and a few more.

Lot of experienced campaigners in the squad like Rahane, Dhawan, Ashwin ,Ishant etc.

Slow pitches of UAE will definitely help the DC spinners.

A good leader and coach in the form of Former Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting.

Weakness:

A problem of plenty and there will be confusions about who will bat at which position as they have got around 4 to 5 openers.

Fitness of Ishant Sharma as if he gets an injury then they do not have a quality Indian pacer in the side.

Under performance by all rounders like Marcus Stoinis, Keemo Paul and Axar Patel in the past seasons.

Lack of maturity in young guns like Shaw, Pant and Hetmeyer.

Players to watch out for: Well having done and said there are lots of big names to keep an eye on in this Delhi Capitals squad. Rishab Pant will definitely be on the target of viewers because of the ability he has got. New acquisitions like Ravi Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane, Marcus Stoinis will have to prove a point. Need to see if BBL leading wicket taker Daniel Sams will get an opportunity or not and last but not the least we have Shimron Hetmeyer who will be coming after a successful CPL campaign.

This looks like one of the best squads of Delhi Capitals in the history of IPL and we feel they have got all bases covered and have got all the ability to make into the playoffs this year with even the UAE pitches assisting them.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Team Analysis.

Hello everyone

In today’s blog we talk about the champs of 2016,its the David Warner led Sunrisers Hyderabad. They won the IPL trophy in 2016 and since then they have been one of the most consistent sides of IPL as they have qualified to the playoffs almost every year. They finished as runner ups in 2018. SRH has got a strong and dependable core which consists of Skipper David Warner, Johnny Bairstow, Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and many more. Being one of the most consistent teams they have retained their core even for this year. With people like Trevor Baylis and VVS Laxman in their side, even the think tank looks firm. SRH have played majority of their cricket in the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium of Hyderabad which is known for its slowness and stickyness and the conditions in UAE this year are going to be no different.

In the batting department they have a formidable top 4 consisting of Warner, Bairstow, Williamson and Pandey. These batters can not only strike it long but can even stick around and play a responsible knock. The bowling department will be led by Bhuvneshwar alongside Khaleel, Siddarth Kaul and Basil Thampi. SRH’s biggest strength would be their spin bowling department which includes the 2 Afghan Horses Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi.

If we look at the new additions in the SRH side they have added Aussie All-rounder Mitchell Marsh, West Indies All-rounder Fabien Allen, India U-19 skipper Priyam Garg, Virat Singh, Sanjay Yadav, Abdul Samad, Sandeep Bavanka.

Strength:

1)The formidable top 4 consisting of Warner, Bairstow, Williamson and Manish Pandey.

2)Ever so dependent spin bowling attack which includes Rashid and Nabi.

3)Pitches in UAE will suit the SRH players.

4)Lot of All rounders in the squad.

5)Players like Warner, Bairstow, Rashid and Nabi have already played a bit of cricket post the pandemic.

Weakness:

1)Lack of power in the middle order consisting of Pandey, Shankar, Abhishek Sharma, Saha.

2)Overdependent on the 4 overseas players.

3)No proper replacement for the overseas players in case of injury.

4)Pace bowling department very much dependant on Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

5)Absence of Shakib al Hassan will hurt.

Players to watch out for: Well a lot of eyes will be on the U 19 skipper Priyam Garg. Virat Singh had a good domestic season so people will have an eye on him. One has to see how Khaleel and Siddharth Kaul will bowl in the UAE pitches as both have got excellent variations up their sleeves.

As per our prediction SRH might finish 5th or 6th in the table.

Team Analysis of Royal Challengers Bangalore

Hello everyone in today’s blog we explain about the strengths and weaknesses of Team RCB. Well the first thing that comes into our mind when we talk about RCB is ofcourse the duo of Virat Kohli and Ab de Villiers ,but then for a team to be successful in a tournament like IPL, depending on just 2 players is not enough. The whole team has to take up responsibility and deliver but somehow this is not happening for RCB in the last few seasons. The players other than Virat and Abd have not played upto their potential and that has cost them to finish at the bottom of the table twice in the last 3 seasons.

Well RCB is known for having big names in their side. The likes of Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum, Daniel Vettori, Shane Watson, KL Rahul have all played for RCB in the previous seasons. But yet they don’t have the trophy in their kitty. RCB has finished as runner up in the IPL thrice. One common thing about RCB in every season is that they always had a explosive batting line up but it’s the bowling department that has struggled every year. But then this year the Management has finally understood what they’ve been doing wrong in the previous seasons and they have made some smart picks from the auction. Moreover RCB has changed their coaching staff as they have introduced Simon Katich as their Head Coach, Mike Hesson as the director of cricket operations, Adam Griffith as the bowling coach. If we look at the squad for this season once again we’ll find a lot of big names like Aussie skipper Aaron Finch, Proteas All rounder Chris Morris, Srilankan Pacer Isuru Udana, Aussie spinner Adam Zampa (replacement for Kane Richardson) along side the likes of Virat, AB , Yuzi Chahal , Moeen Ali ,Shivam Dubey, Navdeep Saini ,Umesh Yadav and many more. The addition of Aussie skipper Aaron finch is a huge boost for RCB as apart from giving flying starts he can even assist Virat with some strategies. We can clearly see that this time the Management has tried to solve their bowling line up issues by add Dale Steyn, Chris Morris, Isuru Udana , Adam Zampa and these overseas bowlers along with the Indian bowling line up consisting of Umesh , Saini ,Yuzi and Siraj have got the capacity to demolish any batting line up if they play up to their potential.

Well some interesting players to watch out for this year would be Devdutt Padikkal, Josh Philippe and Isuru Udana. Devdutt and Josh both have done well in their short career so far and both are very talented, Udana has even represented the Srilankan side. And this year Isuru Udana might come up as the dark horse late in the tournament, Since this season is being played at the UAE with only 3 grounds available ,after the mid season the pitches will tend to slow down and this Srilankan pacer will come handy with his slower ones and other variations. One has to wait and watch to see if Devdutt and Josh will get an opportunity in this star studded line up.

Well things seem very good for RCB this year as they have got finch, Devdutt, Virat , Abd, Moeen in the Batting line up. Steyn, Morris, Udana, Zampa, Umesh, Saini, Yuzi in the bowling line up. A player like Morris adds a lot of balance to the side with his batting and death bowling skills. Only weakness would be in that inexperienced lower middle order which includes the likes Shivam Dubey, Washington Sundar, Gurkeerat Mann . All 3 have played for India and they have to take responsibility amd step up to the occasion. Well now its left to the Captain and Coach regarding how they set the Xl ,how they use their resources and what plans they come up with. We would like to rate this squad with 4 stars out of 5 and we believe this time RCB has the ability to make it to the play offs. RCB will be starting their campaign on 21st of September against the SRH side. And that will be a cracker of a contest for sure.

Key takeaways from the IPL governing council meeting

Hello everyone

In today’s blog we discuss about some of the major takeaways from the recently held IPL governing council meeting. As discussed in the previous blog some huge decisions were to be taken. The meeting started at 5pm yesterday i.e 2nd of August.

Well considering the noval corona virus certain decisions are been taken. The GC confirmed that IPL will be held in UAE from sept 19 and the final will be played on Nov 10. So its a 53 days tournament, with 10 double headers. Usually IPL tournaments go for 49 days but this year itll go for 53 days making way for lesser double headers. One major change this year is that matches will start at 7.30pm and the double headers will start at 3.30pm i.e 30 mins prior to the usual timings. The schedule for the tournament will be out soon.

All 8 teams will leave to UAE from India after 26th of August and every team will consist of 24 players. One key takeaway from the meeting is that if any player is unwell then replacement will be allowed. No crowd is allowed in the beginning stage of IPL but then chances are there that from the mid stage crowd will be allowed, decision regarding this will be taken after discussion with UAE government. Anyways one thing is confirmed that we wont see jam packed stadiums this time…… Maybe 30% or 50% of crowd might be allowed only of the UAE govt permits.

SOP’s for the tournament are being set up in consultation with specialists and bio secured bubble plan is being set up. Top doctors are been brought on board to handle the medical protocols. All previous sponsors are been retained including chinese sponsor VIVO. This was something the majority of the population had an eye on aftet the recent clash between India and China at the borders. India had recently even banned upto 59 chinese apps but then VIVO will continue as the major sponsor in this edition of IPL as well.

All 3 venues of UAE to be used for matches so that the players need not travel more. The 3 venues are Dubai,Abu dhabi and Sharjah. Even the women’s t20 challenge tournament is been approved and this time it will be a 4 team tournament. Woman’s tournament will be held during the play offs. There will be unlimited Covid -19 replacement considering the circumstances.

BCCI has received presentations from a dubai based group for creating medical facility in UAE. Moreover BCCI is in talks with Tata Group for creating bio secure bubbles.

What we can see is that all precautions are being taken to make sure that the major revenue generator tournament will be held properly with no ups and downs.

IPL is happening finally.

Hello everyone..In today’s blog we talk about the upcoming edition of IPL.

Oh yes the IPL is finally happening, its been scheduled from September 19th to November 10th most probably, and the best thing is its going to be a full fledged tournament……unlike what we thought…..Yes the world’s best franchise tournament is coming your way soon….But then a few questions rise about the upcoming edition. In todays blog we ll be discussing about them.

Question no 1

Will the players be available for the IPL?

The most important thing for every IPL team is availability of all its players, there is a lot of planning which goes on before the Auction and the teams spend crores on each player…but then its a disaster if a team buys a player and the player doesn’t arrive at all….. That’s like a huge set back for the team even before the tournament can start……It has happen even in the past few editions where a player like Mitchell Starc was purchased by KKR amdyhe never arrived…I mean such a huge blow to the KKR bowling line up….. This year there are chances that a particular nation’s cricket board might not allow its players to play……Just imagine if South Africa cricket board doesn’t allows its players or the players voluntarily deny to play considering the risk…..this would be very dreadful for a team like RCB….all the big names like ABD,Steyn,Morris….Imagine RCB without them…… Imagine Delhi capitals without Kagiso Rabada… Imagine CSK without Imran tahir and Lungi Ngidi….Such a huge blow for every team out there……Will m just using the proteas players as an example,i hope they really come and play but then if it happens even the absence of single international player is definitely going to hurt teams.

Well just in case this happens, what would be the replacement procedure, will the replacement is going to be done from the lot of unsold players in the auction or all the players will be available….if this is the case then aussie spearhead Mitchell Starc too is available for the IPL….A decision on this will be taken by the IPL governing council for sure.

Another question that arises is that what if a player ia been tested positive in between the tournament?

This is a more serious situation and seems scary too….Hope this doesn’t happens but then still UAE is not covid free unlike Newzealand…. There are chances of infection…If this happens then what steps will be takem, will the team be allowed to participate further, will the team be allowed to play a match on the day a player is tested positive…… Ofcourse all players are going to be tested for it but whats the step ahead…..the player will be surely hospitalised but what happens to the team….We don’t know……the IPl governing council will have to take a call on this.

Will the crowd be allowed in the stadium?

Yes another important factor is the crowd in the stadium. Any sports tournament without crowd is a failure for sure….But with this pandemic situation allowing the crowd to gather is a huge risk…..Either it ll be a closed stadium match with no crowd what so ever….or may be 30% or 50% of crowd to be allowed with social distancing in action.

Another question is about how many bio secure bubbles will be created?

In the recent England series a few bio secure bubbles were made but then IPL is a huge tournament of 8 teams which not only includes the players but also the support staff, coach , family and many more..A perfect plan about this is important.

Another question is about when the teams will reach UAE?

As per sources we’ve heard players will first travel to India and then they will be taken to UAE…. chances are there that the decision mighy change too….. Ofcourse a 14 days isolation is must with players travelling between counties….So will the players directly reach UAE or they will arrive to India and then they will be taken to UAE in chartered flights is still unknown

Well a decision on all this will be taken soon by the BCCI, there’s a ipl governing council meeting to be held today i.e August 2 and for sure they have a lot of factors to discuss about.

Huge decision are going to be taken for sure, one has to keep an eye on the protocols as well.

But then history is going to be created soon, lets hope for the best.

Team India’s new plan for the t20i world cup.

Hello everyone

In today’s blog we talk about the recent change that has taken place in Team India’s T20 team.Yes most of you might be surprised seeing that Team India in the last few t20 series has not gone with its full strength side.Bumrah, Bhuvi,Kohli, Hardik,Jadeja have missed few series.Well there is an agenda behind it.Today we ll discuss about few of them.

Ok so the first one out of them is managing work load.Players like Bumrah,Kohli,Hardik play all 3 formats and its important to manage their workload.Keeping them fit is very important and hence Team Management can’t put more weight on single players, hence timely rest has to be given to them.

Thinking about the future is another important thing. We can see team Management is testing all young talents like Washington Sundar,Rishab Pant,Navdeep Saini, Mayank Markande,Rahul Chahar,Deepak Chahar etc . Opportunities are been given to these players now itself so that they get used to the conditions and pressure while playing in the big stage, team Management is also trying to find substitutes for every player. For example Hardik Pandya can be replaced by Shivam Dubey or Krunal Pandya or Washington Sundar or Ravindra Jadeja or by 2 all rounders together which brings in stability to the side.

More importantly Team Management is experimenting certain players at certain positions to see how they perform.Players like Rishab Pant,Shreyas Iyer have been tried and tested for the no 4 and no 5 slots, since this particular slot has been a headache for the last few years.Team Management is trying to sought it out by giving continuous opportunities.

Being ready for transition is another thing. You never know when which player gets injured or gets out of form and hence on that day another equally capable tried and tested player should be ready to replace him.

Another reason what i feel is that Team India is trying to copy the brand of cricket of Team England.Well England plays Fearless brand of cricket and they bat really deep.Same thing was tried by Team India too in the recently concluded few series where we saw that we had batsmans to bat till no 7 or no 8 and almost 7 bowlers to bowl,in one match we saw around 4 wicket keepers it was when MSD, Dinesh Karthik,KL Rahul, Rishab Pant all played in the same match.

So these are some of the reasons why Team Management is trying to play around with the T20i side, chopping and shuffling work is going on and might continue for long till the World Cup.
